EXPRMNTL – the documentary directed by Brecht Debackere / produced by Visualantics in collaboration with Cinematek / Canvas / RTBF / with the support of the Flemish Audiovisual Fund – tells the story of experimental film through the history of the festival which took place in Knokke, a small mundane town in Belgium.

This is a story which tells us how we came to understand what we watch, which questions the very nature of film and how a big part of how we understand our world relies on the very nature of moving images.

EXPRMNTL will be screened at the BFI – London Film Festival on Saturday 08 October 2016 18:30.
